Supporting Your Staff – Part 5 -Shout Out Wall Update

The Shout Out Wall has been one of my post popular posts.

Kudos to you, camping community, I love that you’re all so concerned with spreading kindness and encouragement!

One of the questions that I get asked most often is, “What are some other themes I can use on my board?”

Well I thought I’d help ya’ll out with a list of themes my staff and I have come up with (and some photos too!)

If you’re new here and you have no idea what I’m talking about, check out my Shout Out Wall post to get some tips on how to do one.

Shout Out

You can really draw anything with this, we’ve drawn animals, megaphones, and a man’s face, you can be creative.

ABCD – Above and Beyond the Call of Duty

I went for Buzz Lightyear’s slightly less handsome cousin (because it made sense with our theme) but you could do a medal or something if that makes more sense to you.

You Rock (because…)

I’ve done both the electric guitar type rock, as well as a poorly drawn picture of a rock, but you could be creative and do Mt. Rushmore or something! Or a KISS face. (The band, not the … duck face thing.)

You Rule (because…)

I like to draw a cute ruler with some personality for this one, but you could also go with  a person wearing a crown, or Bob the Builder with some measuring tape.

Thanks a Bunch (for…)

You could draw a bunch of bananas, or grapes, or… oats? OHH you could do the Brady Bunch squares… Google it if you’re under… 30?…

You’re TEAriffic (because…)

You could draw a cup of tea, a kettle, or two cups of tea doing cheers. (Clinking together, but I’d love to see teacups with arms & pom pom’s … heh.)

You’re stuPENdous (because…)

You could draw a pen, or a cup of pens, ohh… you could get really fancy and draw a feather pen and a scroll!

You Deserve a High Five (because…)

I always just draw a hand, but you could draw two hands in a high-five, or a 5 with a parachute.

You’re a Super Staff (because…)

I drew superheros, but you could just do a crest, or a cape, or an epic battle of good vs evil… it might depend on time constraints.

You’re DINOmite (for…)

I’d go with pictures of dinosaurs, but you do you, man.

Hats Off to You (because…)

Any kind of hat at all, you could do a top hat, a party hat, a cowboy hat, a bonnet, a ball camp, a fireman’s hat… this could go on. (I sort of feel like Bubba from Forrest Gump)

Appreciation Station

Any kind of station, I went with a train, but you could do a gas station, a bus station, or the space station. You could even do a stationary bike. Peh. heh. heh.

The Force is Strong with You (because…)

I’d go with Star Wars type drawings but you could just draw someone with muscles, or use a formula for force if science is your thing.

You’re Out of This World (because…)

I’ve drawn a rocket ship, planets, and anything space-y. Ohh but you could also draw a picture of Earth, then have an arrow going to a little stick person who’s off to the side… heh. Or an astronaut.

Honestly, you can just write. Thanks, or I Like You, or You’re Great, or You Made My Day Better… or anything at all.

Check out some of the ones we’ve done in the past. You’ll notice we’ve done the same theme a few times, just in slightly different ways.
I didn’t draw all of these, my wonderful and talented staff volunteered to draw some too, and sometimes, when pressed for time but wanting to say nice things – they’ve just written the words “shout outs” and that’s ok too! 🙂

So there ya have it, some fun ways to encourage your staff to acknowledge the awesomeness of their colleagues. FUN!!

I can’t wait to hear about all of the themes you guys came up with, tell me about it in the comment section below.
